What is Pubvana?
Pubvana (formerly known as Ghost) is a streamlined, open-source blogging platform built for writers, publishers, and content creators. It provides a distraction-free writing environment and modern publishing tools to help users share stories, articles, or newsletters with ease. Pubvana is especially popular with independent writers and online publications due to its simplicity and speed.
Softaculous helps you install web applications very easily. Please follow the steps below to install Pubvana:
Step 1. Log in to your cPanel account.
Step 2. In the Software section, click on Softaculous Apps Installer.![]()
Step 3. You will be redirected to the Softaculous interface.
Step 4. On the left-hand side, find the Blogs category and click on Pubvana.
Step 5. Click on Install.
Step 6. Under Software Setup:
- Choose Installation URL: Select the correct protocol and domain. If you want Pubvana installed in a subdirectory (e.g. example.com/blog), enter the directory name. Leave it blank to install on the root domain.

Step 7. Under Site Settings:
- Site Name: Give your site a name such as "My First Blog".
- Site Description: Write a short description of your blog or site purpose.
Step 8. Under Admin Account:
- Admin Username: Choose a secure username (avoid "admin").
- Admin Password: Set a strong password.
- Admin Email: Enter your email address.
- First Name: Your first name.
- Last Name: Your last name.

Note: Be sure to save your login credentials somewhere safe. You will need them to log in to your Pubvana admin area.
Step 9. Advanced Options: You can leave these as default unless you want to configure the database name or enable automatic backups. Frequent backups may use significant disk space.
Scroll down and click on Install to complete the installation.
