1. Introduction

This Environmental Claims & Contributions Policy ("Policy") outlines the environmental commitments and sustainability practices of ENVIROWEB LTD ("we", "us", "our") in connection with our digital services, including but not limited to hosting, cloud email, and domain name services.

This Policy is intended to supplement, and should be read in conjunction with, our primary Terms of Service. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between this Policy and our Terms of Service, the provisions of this Policy shall apply specifically to environmental representations and related contributions. This Policy is informational in nature and does not modify the underlying technical or contractual obligations of any purchased service.

2. Use of Renewable Energy and Offsetting

We are committed to operating our services in an environmentally responsible manner, with a specific focus on reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and aiding you in creating a sustainable digital presence. To that end, we aim to power all “.Net-Zero” labelled services with 100% renewable energy, using a combination of direct sourcing and certified offsetting mechanisms.

In practical terms, this means:

  • Direct renewable energy: Where direct renewable energy supply is available to our infrastructure or that of our partners, it is used as the primary power source.
  • Certified offsetting: Where direct supply is unavailable or insufficient, we compensate the shortfall through the purchase of Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) certificates. These certificates verify that an equivalent amount of renewable electricity has been generated and added to the grid.

REGO-backed offsetting enables us to account for total electricity use across various services on an annual basis, ensuring that our “100% renewable” claim is accurate from an accounting and certification standpoint — even when infrastructure or supply chain limitations prevent full physical traceability of energy sources.

2.1 Ongoing Verification

We review the energy practices of our infrastructure partners periodically to ensure they continue to meet our environmental standards. We also maintain internal records of REGO certificates acquired, which are matched against estimated or measured service-level electricity consumption for auditing and reporting purposes and reconciled on an annual basis.

2.2 Eligible Services

While several of our services carry the ".Net-Zero" label to reflect our broader environmental commitments, only a subset of these currently qualify under our renewable energy program. Our renewable energy practices apply exclusively to services that are both:

  • Labelled as part of our ".Net-Zero" product line, and
  • Explicitly marketed as powered by renewable energy on our website or in associated materials.

As of the date of this Policy, the following services qualify under our renewable energy sourcing and REGO offsetting program:

  • .Net-Zero Shared Hosting
  • VPS Hosting
  • Dedicated Servers (where specifically stated)

Other ".Net-Zero" services, such as Cloud Email or Domain Names, are not currently powered by renewable energy and should not be assumed to fall under this program unless explicitly indicated. Eligibility may change over time and will always be reflected in up-to-date service descriptions.

3. Tree Planting Contributions

As part of our broader sustainability efforts, we fund the planting of trees for select services and product tiers that are marketed as part of our ".Net-Zero" offerings. This initiative is designed to provide an additional environmental benefit by helping to absorb atmospheric carbon and support global reforestation projects.

3.1 Scope and Variation

The number of trees planted varies depending on the specific product or service plan selected, and may be adjusted over time based on operational, financial, ecological considerations, or at our discretion. The initiative may apply to services such as:

  • .Net-Zero Shared Hosting
  • Cloud Email Services
  • Domain Names
  • VPS Hosting
  • Dedicated Servers

The specific tree planting allocation per service, where applicable, may be displayed at the time of purchase in the product description or outlined in promotional material. We may also offer additional tree planting incentives through promotional codes and affiliates.

For eligible services, the number of trees to be planted is displayed during checkout, both per individual service and as a total across the order.

Once the order is completed and trees are planted, customers can view a summary in their client area, including a breakdown of the number of trees planted per service.

Tree planting is provided as a courtesy, non-contractual contribution. It is not an essential or guaranteed component of your purchased service. Specifically:

  • The delivery or continuation of your hosting, email, or other technical services is not dependent on the tree planting initiative.
  • Tree planting may be reviewed, modified, or suspended at any time and may vary between customers, regions, or service levels.
  • We reserve the right to change or discontinue this initiative without notice and without affecting the terms or quality of the technical service itself.

3.3 Disclaimer and Expectations

This initiative is conducted in good faith, on a best-effort basis. While we select reputable partners for tree planting projects, we do not guarantee specific outcomes such as carbon sequestration amounts, tree survival rates, or location-specific impacts.

You acknowledge and agree that participation in a service labelled as ".Net-Zero" or "renewable" does not entitle you to any form of ongoing tree planting, nor does it form part of the core deliverables for your purchased service.

4. Third-Party Providers and Environmental Assurance

Our services are delivered using a combination of in-house systems and third-party infrastructure — including datacentres, hosting platforms, and upstream network providers. Where our environmental claims involve energy sourcing, offsets, or sustainability practices, these claims are in part based on data, disclosures, and certifications provided by these third-party partners.

We take reasonable steps to work with vendors who demonstrate a commitment to environmental responsibility, including the use of renewable energy, energy efficient technology and participation in certification schemes such as REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin) or similar recognised programs.

However, we do not have direct control over all upstream facilities or processes. As such:

  • We rely on the accuracy of environmental data, declarations, and documentation made available by our partners.
  • We cannot independently verify or audit every claim related to generation source, offset quantity, or sustainability metrics provided by third-party infrastructure operators.
  • Environmental features of a given service are subject to change if our provider relationships or sourcing arrangements are updated.

To ensure a reasonable level of assurance, we periodically review supplier documentation, request verification where appropriate, and reserve the right to discontinue environmental claims for any service if we believe underlying representations are no longer accurate or supportable.

Customers should be aware that environmental commitments stated in this Policy are made in good faith, based on the best available information, and are subject to practical limitations inherent in supply chain and partner transparency.

5. .Net-Zero Assets & Usage

To support customers in communicating their use of our environmentally responsible services, we provide a set of marketing assets and digital badges (the “.Net-Zero Asset Kit”). These materials are intended to be used in connection with specific products or plans that qualify under our sustainability initiatives.

Use of these assets is governed by our Asset Kit Licence Agreement, which outlines the permitted scope, attribution requirements, and restrictions applicable to badge placement, promotional claims, and visual modifications.

Customers must ensure they:

  • Only use assets that correspond to the specific service(s) they have purchased
  • Do not modify or misrepresent the meaning of the assets provided
  • Comply fully with all terms outlined in the Asset Kit Licence Agreement

Misuse of marketing materials may result in withdrawal of usage rights or other enforcement actions. For full terms and conditions, please refer to the Asset Kit Licence Agreement.

6. Transparency and Updates

We are committed to transparency and accountability in how we communicate our environmental initiatives. This Policy is intended to reflect our current practices, but our sustainability programs — including renewable energy sourcing, offset mechanisms, and tree planting contributions — may evolve over time.

Accordingly, this Policy may be amended or updated to reflect:

  • Changes in our infrastructure or supplier arrangements
  • New or revised environmental programs
  • Regulatory or legal requirements
  • Expansion into new markets or service territories

All updates will be published on our website. We may also notify users of material updates to this Policy through the client area dashboard or service-related announcements. By continuing to use our services after such changes are posted, you acknowledge and agree to the revised version of this Policy.

If you have any questions about how a specific service qualifies under our environmental initiatives, or if you would like further clarification about any part of this Policy, you are encouraged to contact our support team via your client area.
