What is Nucleus?
Nucleus is a lightweight and flexible blogging CMS designed for users who want control over their blog's structure and functionality. It supports multiple blogs, user management, commenting, and a plugin system, making it ideal for users who want a straightforward blogging solution with customisability.
Softaculous helps you install web applications very easily. Please follow the steps below to install Nucleus:
Step 1. Log in to your cPanel account.
Step 2. In the Software section, click on Softaculous Apps Installer.![]()
Step 3. cPanel will redirect you to the Softaculous interface.
Step 4. On the left side, locate the Blogs category. Click on it and then on the Nucleus link that appears.
Step 5. Click on Install.
Step 6. Under the Software Setup section:
- Choose Installation URL: Select your domain and protocol. To install in a subdirectory like example.com/blog, enter the directory name. Leave it blank to install in the root domain.

Step 7. Under Site Settings:
- Site Name: Enter your blog's full name.
- Site Short Name: A short version of your site name (e.g., "MyBlog").
Step 8. Under Admin Account:
- Admin Username: Choose a secure username (avoid common names like admin).
- Admin Password: Use a strong and unique password.
- Real Name: Enter your real name or leave as is.
- Admin Email: Provide your email address.

Note: Make sure to save your admin username and password somewhere safe. You’ll need them to log into your Nucleus dashboard.
Step 9. Advanced Options: Leave these unchanged unless you want to configure database settings or enable automated backups. Keep in mind that frequent backups will consume more disk space.
Finally, scroll to the bottom and click on Install to complete the setup.
