You can upload files to your hosting account using the FileZilla FTP Client. This is especially useful for publishing your website or updating site files quickly.
Step 1: Open the FileZilla FTP Client on your computer.
Step 2: Enter your FTP connection details and click Quickconnect to connect to your hosting account:
- Host: ftp.example.com or example.com
- Username: Your FTP or cPanel username
- Password: Your FTP or cPanel password
Step 3: On the right-hand side under Remote site, navigate to the public_html folder. This is the root directory for your website. Double-click on it to enter.
Step 4: On the left-hand side under Local site, browse to the folder on your computer that contains your website files.
Right-click the file you want to upload (for example, index.html) and select Upload.
Your selected files will begin uploading to the server. You can view the progress in the FileZilla transfer queue at the bottom of the window.
Once complete, your files will be live on your website. You can upload multiple files and folders the same way by selecting them and dragging them into the public_html folder.
