Email Sending Limits on Enviroweb
At Enviroweb, all outbound emails are routed through a premium relay service, included free with every account. This ensures your emails are reliably delivered, even if the IP addresses associated with your hosting account encounter any potential 'blacklist' issues.
Hourly Sending Limits
The hourly email sending limits vary based on the service you're using. For cPanel Hosting, the limit is:
- 150 emails per domain per hour
Important Notes:
-
No Email Marketing Permitted: Our email facilities are not designed for email marketing. For email campaigns, we recommend using third-party services such as SendGrid or MailChimp.
-
No Daily Sending Limits: While we don’t impose a daily limit on sending emails, there are specific hourly restrictions in place.
-
Overage Buffer: There is a 25% overage buffer, meaning messages that exceed the set hourly threshold will be queued rather than immediately blocked.
-
Threshold Exceedance:
- Sending more emails than the hourly limit will result in outbound messages being rejected or blocked.
- If an account sends emails to 250 or more recipients within one hour, an email notification will be sent, and a block may be placed on the account.
- If an account sends more than 500 emails in a 24-hour period, a notification will be sent, and a block may be imposed.
-
PHP Scripts and Mailing Lists: Emails sent via PHP scripts or through mailing lists (such as Mailman) count toward your overall email relay quota.
-
No Email Archiving: Enviroweb does not support email archiving, and we impose limits on mailbox storage under our Fair Usage Policies. Please refer to our terms for full details.
Recommendations
For sending bulk emails or managing marketing campaigns, we highly recommend utilizing dedicated email marketing platforms like SendGrid or MailChimp, which are designed for this purpose and will help you avoid any sending limitations or potential blocks on your Enviroweb account.
